In what could be considered an upset over the Chinese, Australia’s out gay diving hottie, Matthew Mitcham, won the gold medal in men’s 10 meter platform diving. In addition to him being the best diver in the world, he came out to the Australian press a few months ago and created quite a buzz, including the cover of The Advocate.

I’ll have you know I placed this month’s Advocate in a highly visible location in my den. This is good because I can easily look over and drool at will, or entice others to do so. Oh, and he has a tongue stud…sigh.
Once you’ve seen a guy hugging their legs and putting them behind their ears, is there anything else more to see? lol (Sorry, can’t help it)

As I told a fellow Aussie who blogged about him, it’s nice when an “out” gay man can make a name for himself without relegating his talent to the Gay Games. Hopefully this will lead others to do the same.
