I will be the first to admit that I have not seen either "Into the Wild" or "American Gangster", but I will say that for me, "No Country for Old Men" probably ranks among the best films I've ever seen. It is too bad that the overall experience was ruined by those annoying folks, but I just thought I had to offer a counter-point. (And the ending was so awesome that I was shaking when I walked out) I could go on, but I won't bore you :-)

Nothing wrong with a quiet weekend. Sometimes it's a welcomed event with the onset of the holiday madness. I hope your week is quiet and uneventful as well. Cheers!

I love the quite weekends to allow me some time to reflect and relax. Although, I also enjoy visiting family on the holidays... always good to see the kiddies excitement at the size of a turkey leg, or the lights going up on the tree.

It's one of the few seasons I think I would enjoy being a parent; the only problem being what to do with the buggers the rest of the year?

I usually enjoy the "quiet, stay-at-home" weekends too. I guess that's because we are both "introverted" to the max? Did you at least feel rested?
